Mini Conference for Adult Education

The Adult Literacy Resource Center of the DC Public Library in conjunction with the DC AFLC Best Practices Committee has been hard at work organizing our FREE mini-conference for adult education staff and volunteers!  We have chosen 9 workshops to offer from 11 local presenters, and now it's your turn to choose what to attend!  The conference is open to staff, volunteers, and any interested parties, and again, it is entirely FREE! Folks from DC, Maryland and Virginia are welcome!

The DC Adult & Family Literacy Coalition's Best Practices Committee is excited to host our first-ever FREEmini-conference for professional development in adult education! The mini-conference will have three time periods:

  • Friday, May 11 from 10-12;
  • Friday, May 11 from 1-3; and
  • Saturday, May 12 from 10-12

Three different (but equally excellent!) workshops offered during each time period.  You can register for individual workshops and times below. Make sure to read through all the options, and please register for ALL of the workshops you plan to attend.

Location: Academy of Hope Ward 5 (2315 18th Pl NE, Washington, DC 20018) has graciously agreed to make its Ward 5 site available for our workshops, and a simple lunch of sandwiches will be provided for Friday participants thanks to a generous donation from the Greater Washington Community Foundation. Thank you to Academy of Hope, the Greater Washington Community Foundation, and all of our presenters!

Please complete your registration by May 7, 2018 at COB.

You must complete this registration form to attend!  You can register for one day, both days or just Friday morning for example. Whatever fits your schedule.
