This workshop is intended for educators of adult English language learners but is open to all educators in general. It will start with a brief overview of what Task- Based Language Learning (TBLT) entails. This will be followed by hands-on experiences on how to apply this strategy in the classroom using commercial board games. Participants will also be able to analyze different board games for target vocabulary and grammar as they design a lesson plan outline based on the board game they will be using in the workshop. An explanation about ways to create a Wiki for teachers will also be provided.
