Lynn Erickson brings more than a decade of nonprofit communication leadership to her role at MCAEL. Prior to joining MCAEL, she contributed to the efforts of Special Olympics International’s inclusive health work in more than 100 countries for nine years. She also has aided organizations that include Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics Indiana and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Glazer Family Foundation.
Lynn holds an M.A. in communication from Wake Forest University, a B.S. in business management from Purdue University, and a B.A. in communication from Purdue University. While at Purdue, Lynn first experienced English language literacy classes as an ESOL school intern (and loved gaining a broader understanding of the world from the learners there). She went on to volunteer as an ESOL instructor in Prince George’s County. When Lynn is not involved with MCAEL, you may find her trying to keep up with her active family, relaxing with her not-so-active dogs, being inspired by the people who are involved with Special Olympics, or enjoying time at her place of worship.
